Giovanni Stilo

is an assistant professor at the Department of Information Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics at Università of L' Aquila. His research interests are focused on machine learning (artificial intelligence) and data mining. He is mainly involved in the study of temporal mining, social network analysis, network medicine, and semantics-aware recommender systems. He published in top-tier conferences and journals, especially in the field of event detection and semantic recommender systems (IJCAI, CL, DMDK). He is co-organizer of several dedicated international workshops, in conjunction to top-tier conferences, like ICDM, CIKM, and ECIR. He has also been editor and reviewer in top-tier journals, such as TITS, TKDE, DMKD, AI, KAIS, AIIM. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of L'Aquila in 2013. In 2014, he was a visiting researcher at Yahoo! Lab in Barcelona.
